Berger’s 30 Caliber 208 Grain Long Range Hybrid Target round represents the latest addition to the Long Range Hybrid Target (LRHT) line, featuring a high BC and jump-tolerant hybrid ogive profile that is Doppler Radar verified with less than 1% BC variation. When engaging targets out to 1,000 yards and beyond, shot-to-shot consistency matters as much as a high Ballistic Coefficient in competitive shooting.
Development of the 208 Grain LRHT projectile involved testing by US Rifle Team F-TR members focused on long range competitive target shooting applications. Berger’s MRT™ technology delivers a G7 Ballistic Coefficient of 0.354 with significantly more consistent BC performance than previous Hybrid Target designs, reducing vertical dispersion and providing greater shot-to-shot consistency than any prior Berger offering.
This 100-count box of reloading bullets incorporates J4 Precision Bullet Jackets, the preferred choice among custom bullet manufacturers, maintaining a +/- .0003″ tolerance to produce the most consistent and concentric copper jackets available. This level of precision yields a Berger bullet with minimal dispersion across all ranges. The hybrid ogive combines tangent and secant nose geometries, beginning as a tangent profile for straightforward tuning before shifting to a secant ogive that provides flatter trajectory and reduced wind drift. Berger’s core manufacturing standards eliminate the need for weight sorting, delivering more reliable drop, consistent BC, and improved accuracy.
