Protect your lathe work with the Brownells CROWN SAVER™ Lathe Center Cover. These brass cones eliminate the worry of damaging an already-finished crown when lathe-turning a barrel. Place a Crown Saver between the muzzle and lathe or mill center before fluting, chambering, polishing, or threading for a muzzle brake to keep the rifling and crown safe from harm.
Each brass cone is machined to within .0002″ or less concentricity, delivering accuracy equivalent to direct barrel contact against the center. Made from 360 brass, this 10-pack contains small covers rated for a maximum diameter of .500″. The small size fits bores .17 to .45 caliber and stays seated without spinning when the barrel is chucked in the lathe.
A Crown Saver virtually eliminates the risk of swaging the rifling. For best results, do not use Crown Saver more than once on barrels of the same caliber. Whether you’re a professional gunsmith installing muzzle brakes, suppressors, or undertaking custom barrel projects, this 10-pack delivers the precision protection your fine barrels deserve.
