Brownells Silvaloy 355 Silver Solder features 56% silver content, low melting point, cadmium-free, and matches stainless steel for strong, precise joints. The solder melts at 1145°F and flows at 1205°F for precise applications. Available in convenient 1/2 oz ribbon form measuring 0.005 inch wide by 37 inches long, this product provides controlled feed for meticulous gunsmithing work.
Silvaloy 355 is recommended for joining steel, stainless steel, copper, copper alloys, nickel, nickel alloys and precious metals to themselves or any combination of these. The almost-white color matches stainless steel beautifully, making it essential for installing sights and ramps on stainless steel guns. It has the lowest flow temperature, best wetting and best flow characteristics of any cadmium-free, high silver-content, commercial silver solder and is highly recommended for all silver solder jobs where sheet or flow method is desired.
