The Browning 1911-380 merges two of John M. Browning’s foundational designs—the Model 1911 and the .380 ACP cartridge—in a platform scaled to 85% of the original’s size. This authentic 1911-style semi-automatic pistol is chambered in .380 ACP and built around a locked-breech recoil-operated system that uses a much lighter recoil spring than blowback-operated .380 pistols, making manual operation of the slide easy.
The gun features a composite mainframe with machined 7075 aluminum sub-frame and slide rails, combined with a machined steel slide and a target crown for improved accuracy. Its stainless construction includes a black frame and silver stainless steel slide. The 3.63-inch barrel balances portability with effective performance, while fixed combat sights and an extended ambidextrous manual safety round out the controls. The pistol ships with an 8-round capacity magazine included.
Compared to micro .380 designs, the slightly larger frame accommodates three fingers below the trigger guard, enhancing control during shooting. The single-action trigger, ambidextrous manual thumb safety, grip safety, and natural grip angle deliver the feel familiar to 1911 shooters. Whether you’re a seasoned 1911 enthusiast or a new shooter seeking a manageable, reliable compact pistol, the Browning 1911-380 is ideally suited for concealed carry duty and personal defense.
