The Bushnell Professional Boresighter is an essential tool for quickly adjusting scope or iron sights to align with the rifle or handgun barrel. This device aligns the muzzle with your scope’s reticle to get you on paper quickly, and live fire is not necessary, so you can even use it indoors. Correct use will put sighting-in test shots on the paper, requiring only minor expenditure of time and ammunition by test firing to achieve pin-point zero at a given distance.
The kit includes a set of three adjustable arbors for use with nearly any caliber firearm between .22 and .45 caliber, and a .17 caliber spud. When maintained and used properly, the arbors are reproducible within +/-0.5 MOA. The objective lens provides a wide field of view, and the collimator grid has a pattern of 21 horizontal and vertical lines. All components are neatly packaged in a case for travel and storage.
Applications include optical zeroing, boresight calibration of the rings to the bore, changing scopes without losing zero, checking reticle calibration and turret alignment, and checking if a floated stock changes point of impact.
