The Colt O1911SE-A1 is a limited special edition Government 1911 semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 ACP, featuring a factory 25 LPI checkered front strap, classic wood grips, checkered slide stop, commander hammer, carbon steel mainspring housing with vertical serrations, low profile thumb safety, upswept beavertail grip safety, a blued barrel and steel frame, ambidextrous slide release, Novak brass bead front sight and a Novak low mount carry rear sight. The pistol uses a carbon barrel and features both frame and slide machined from carbon steel forgings. It uses the Series 70 frame without the firing pin safety and employs the original solid bushing and recoil spring guide rather than a full-length guide rod.
