The CVA Optima is a .50 caliber muzzleloader built around a trigger-guard actuated breeching lever and steel barrels fitted with a Quick-Release Breech Plug and 0 MOA Picatinny rail. The 26-inch barrel wears a black nitride finish and pairs with a fixed OD green synthetic stock. A 1:28 rate of twist makes this rifle well-suited to belted or modern conical bullets.
The re-engineered butt stock delivers 100% ambidextrous ergonomics and includes a reversible hammer spur for both right and left-handed shooters. An adjustable comb with two included cheek risers lets you dial in your sight picture, while adjustable length of pull with a removable spacer ensures a personalized fit. The rifle ships with a CrushZone recoil pad and a solid aluminum PalmSaver ramrod.
The patented Quick Release Breech Plug can be removed by hand without tools, providing instant access to the rear of the barrel and streamlining the cleaning process.
