CZ-USA built the A01-SD Custom from the ground up at CZ Custom as the next generation of the Shadow series. The hammer-forged frame undergoes CNC machining and bluing, while the slide is CNCed from 4140 bar stock and includes front and rear serrations, a CZ Custom low-mount rear sight, and a fiber-optic front sight. The match-grade bull barrel is constructed from 416 stainless steel with a length of 4.925 inches. The DA pull weight ranges from 8–8.5 lbs, SA pull weight ranges from 3–3.5 lbs, and a short reset comes standard.
The short dustcover (SD) configuration distinguishes this model from the LD variant by moving the balance point closer to the shooter’s hand, enabling faster target transitions and a more agile handling characteristic. A deep beavertail, undercut trigger guard, raised 25 LPI checkering, and an internal magwell merge classic CZ 75 ergonomics with competition-focused design. The hammer and sear are directly pinned in the frame to ensure consistent trigger pull performance.
This 9mm semi-auto features a 19-round capacity and ships with two 19-round magazines. The optics-ready design includes an Iron Sight Plate and low-mount rear sight. This precision-built competition-grade platform delivers the reliability, accuracy, and refined ergonomics demanded by serious shooters.
