The Dead Air Blast Shroud is a rugged and effective solution for reducing muzzle concussion and improving shooter comfort on short-barreled rifles and pistol-caliber carbines. Constructed from 4140 HT alloy steel, it mounts over Dead Air muzzle devices or directly via thread adapter. The shroud directs flash and blast forward, minimizing noise and overpressure to both the shooter and bystanders, and acts as a linear compensator to reduce muzzle rise while extending the muzzle beyond the support hand for added safety.
The DA464S is chambered in .458 caliber with a length of 1.87 inches and weighs 2.7 ounces. With a modular design, the Blast Shroud is compatible with other Dead Air accessories and suppressors for flexible configuration. The Blast Shroud installs easily over compatible Dead Air muzzle devices and other HUB accessories, reducing flash and pushing pressure downrange, and also threads directly to 1.375×24 mounts for standalone use.
