The Diamondback SDR is a compact self-defense revolver designed for concealability and practical reliability. It features a 2″ barrel, six-shot cylinder, a bobbed hammer, and low-profile fiber optic sights for rapid sight acquisition. The finish is Black Nitride on a Stainless Steel frame, while the grip material is Rubber (synthetic). An orange fiber-optic front sight is pinned into the top of the barrel. The rear sight is black and has a square notch, flanked on each side by green fiber-optic elements. Both are low-profile, providing a contrasting 3-dot combination.
This revolver chambers .357 Mag./.38 Spl. and has a solid stainless-steel frame, cylinder, and 2″ barrel, weighing just 21.2 oz. The SDR has a 45 degree target crown machined into the muzzle, which helps protect the rifling and preserves accuracy and bullet dynamics. It has a traditional DA/SA, with a smooth, non-stacking pull weight of 9-11.5 lbs, and the SA pull has no take-up or creep and breaks at about 3.5 lbs.
Hogue black rubber grips, branded with the Diamondback logo, have pebble-grain texturing, and an ergonomic push-button cylinder release allows quick access for maintenance. Made here in the United States, the SDR is available with either a matte finish or the polished finish shown here.
