DURAMAG Speed magazines represent a genuine improvement over standard USGI designs. Since 2011, these battle-tested magazines have been selected by OEM manufacturers, Law Enforcement agencies, and Military units worldwide for their lightweight construction and proven durability. The magazine body is constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum with Type-III hard-coat anodizing. Unlike magazines that rely on surface coatings for color, DURAMAG’s wide range of colors are integral to the anodizing process itself, becoming part of the metal rather than applied over it. These magazines are safe for extended storage while loaded and will not flex or swell as polymer magazines do. Manufacturing employs Progressive die tooling, Post and Hole design, and fully robotic welding to ensure consistency and reliability with every purchase, guaranteed. Due to the chemical process inherent in Type III Hard-coat anodizing, color finish can vary from one magazine to the next, even within the same batch. During final Quality Control, the team maintains an acceptable range for each color hue and rejects any magazine falling outside this standard.
