The magazines feature 6061-T6 aluminum bodies with type-III hard-coat anodizing. Unlike competing magazines that apply surface coatings for color, DURAMAG’s color finishes are integral to the anodizing process itself, becoming part of the metal rather than a separate layer. These magazines are safe for extended storage while loaded and resist the flexing and swelling common to polymer designs. Progressive die tooling, Post and Hole design, and fully robotic welding ensure consistent quality and reliability with every purchase, guaranteed. Due to the chemical processes inherent in type-III hard-coat anodizing, product color finish may vary between individual magazines, even within the same batch. DURAMAG’s Quality Control process maintains an acceptable range for each color hue and rejects any magazine falling outside specifications.
