EGW’s 60° Slitting Saw Carbide Cutter (SKU 70712) is a high-quality, solid-carbide slitting saw designed for cutting precise cocking serrations on hardened 1911 Auto slides without dulling. The tool is domestically produced and made from micrograin carbide which gives long life and excellent finish. Specifications include a solid carbide composition, 1.250″ diameter, 1/6″ thickness, ½” arbor, and a 24 tooth cut for the 60° version.
The 60° saw can be used to serrate tops of slides, mainspring housings, and Les Baer-style slide serrations. It is compatible with various slide designs including STI, EntrZprise, McCormick, Gold Cup, and Caspian. The recommended feed rate for 4140 CM at 42 Rc is 4″ per minute at 610 RPM. For best results, use with the 1911 Auto Gunsmith Plate sold elsewhere. Made in U.S.A.
