The Faxon Duty Series 16″ Gunner barrel in 7.62×39 combines a 1:8 Twist rate with Nitride finish applied inside and out. Built from 4150 CMV steel and finished via salt bath Nitride treatment, it delivers durability and corrosion resistance alongside consistent accuracy. The Gunner profile balances the strength of a Government contour with the light weight and maneuverability of a Pencil profile.
Each Faxon barrel undergoes stress relief and air-gauge testing, with an 11-degree target crown for precision shot placement. The mid-length gas system enables smooth recoil impulse and reliable cycling in 7.62×39 AR-15 builds. Designed for the AR-15 platform and chambered for 7.62 x 39 mm, it features 5/8″-24 muzzle threads and serves a variety of shooting applications from plinking to tactical use.
