Duty Series barrels are machined from 4150 CMV steel with standard button rifling, then treated with salt bath nitride (QPQ) inside and out for corrosion resistance and long service life. The 1:10 twist rate accommodates a wide range of .308 Winchester bullet weights for versatile ballistic applications. The 11-degree target crown (non-recessed) supports clean, repeatable bullet exit—ideal for consistent groups across a wide range of .308 loads.
The Big Gunners feature a medium-taper behind the gas block. The gas block journal is set to .750″ for compatibility with most common gas blocks and 1.9″ in length for long blocks or aftermarket piston kits. From the gas block journal forward we use a thinner taper, designed to reduce weight yet maintain rigidity for high rates of fire and as a suppressor host. The barrel uses 5/8×24 muzzle threads—common for .30-cal muzzle devices and suppressors.
