The Faxon Firearms 7.62×39 10.5″ Gunner Profile Barrel is machined from 4150 chrome-moly-vanadium carbon steel and button rifled with a nitride finish for corrosion resistance. The Gunner profile blends the durability of the Government profile with the weight savings and maneuverability of the Pencil profile. This design brings the balance of the rifle back towards the shooter’s body, limiting fatigue and allowing for shooting, training, or hunting all day long.
Conventionally rifled with 1-8″ twist, this barrel features 5/8″-24 tpi muzzle threads and an 11° target crowned muzzle. This 10.5″ barrel is compatible with a .750″ carbine length gas system. The barrel can handle full-auto fire and is suppressor rated.
Manufactured in-house in Cincinnati, Ohio, Faxon barrels are fully stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and 11 degree target crowned to ensure superior accuracy. All barrels are individually checked for headspace with precision PTG gauges. This “AR-47” barrel is versatile enough for plinking, competition shooting, or tactical operations.
