The Faxon FX7 Prefit 22″ .308 Winchester M24 barrel combines classic .308 versatility with a stability-forward contour engineered to deliver consistent accuracy. Built as a prefit barrel for the Faxon FX7 action, the M24 profile provides excellent stiffness and thermal consistency suited to precision bolt builds. Constructed from 416-R stainless steel, the barrel features 5R button rifling that has been honed and lapped to ensure a smooth, consistent bore.
The salt bath nitride (QPQ) finish enhances corrosion resistance and reduces fouling buildup. Each barrel undergoes Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and is finished with a recessed target crown to protect accuracy at the muzzle. Specifications include a 22″ length, .308 Winchester chambering, 1:10 twist, M24 profile, 416-R stainless steel construction, 5R honed and lapped rifling, QPQ nitride finish, and 5/8×24 threads.
The M24 contour maintains repeatability through sustained fire and extended shooting strings, making it well-suited for precision range work. The 1:10 twist rate is a proven standard for common .308 hunting and match bullet weights. The 5/8×24 muzzle threads accommodate common .30-caliber suppressor mounts.
