The Faxon Firearms Match Series .223 Wylde is a precision AR-15 barrel engineered for shooters demanding exceptional accuracy and consistency. Manufactured in the USA from premium 416-R stainless steel, it features 5R rifling to reduce jacket deformation, a recessed 11-degree target crown for consistent bullet exit, and a nickel-Teflon® coated barrel extension for smooth, reliable lockup.
This 13.9″ Gunner profile model strikes a balance between durability and control. The Gunner profile combines the durability of the Gov’t profile with the weight savings and maneuverability of the Pencil profile, bringing the rifle’s balance toward the shooter’s body to limit fatigue during shooting, training, or hunting. It includes a mid-length gas system, 1-8 twist rate, and 1/2×28 muzzle thread.
Built from 416R stainless steel with 5R button-rifled 1:8 twist, the barrel is finished inside and out in salt bath nitride for accuracy, consistency, and corrosion resistance. The .223 Wylde chamber is optimized to shoot both 5.56 NATO and .223 Remington with maximum accuracy and minimal pressure issues. Every Faxon barrel is stress relieved, air-gauge tested, MPI-inspected, and headspace checked.
