Faxon Match Series 223 Remington 20 Inch Fluted Rifle Barrel

Faxon manufactures the Match Series in-house from gun-barrel-quality bar-stock, beginning with 416-R material and 5R rifling. The 5R design is a hybrid rifling with lands opposite grooves and reduced sharp angles that minimize jacket deformation, increase velocity, and simplify cleaning. Faxon chambers the Match Series in .223 Wylde, a hybrid chamber that works in concert with the 5R rifling to reduce bullet jump and improve accuracy. Every barrel is fully and individually MPI tested for safety assurance. Following rigorous testing, the barrels receive Nitride treatment inside and out, which locks in the bore, extends barrel life, and provides protection against corrosion. The extension features a Nickel Teflon coating that delivers exceptional dry lubricity and corrosion resistance while tightening the fit between extension and receiver to further enhance accuracy.
