The Gunner profile represents a hybrid design combining the best qualities of two proven profiles: Gov’t and Pencil. Faxon’s Gunner profile marries the durability of the Gov’t profile with the weight savings and maneuverability of the Pencil profile. By shifting the rifle’s balance toward the shooter’s body, the Gunner profile reduces fatigue and supports shooting, training, or hunting throughout extended use.
Faxon Firearms barrels are manufactured in-house in Cincinnati, Ohio, and represent exceptional value in precision shooting components. Every barrel is fully stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and features an 11 degree target crown to deliver superior accuracy. Faxon begins with premium materials—either certified 4150 Mil-Spec steel or 416-R Stainless—and subjects each barrel to rigorous testing at every step of production. Following completion, all barrels receive a Nitride finish and undergo final inspection. Each barrel is individually headspace-checked using precision PTG gauges to ensure reliability and performance.
