The FN America FN15 TAC3 5.56 NATO rifle features a MIL-SPEC foundation with an HP/MPI-tested and certified bolt and M16-style bolt carrier group, complemented by a mid-length gas system and H buffer for reliable performance. The barrel is FN’s signature chrome-lined, cold hammer-forged design made from FN proprietary steel, fully free-floated within a Hodge Defense-designed wedge lock handguard. This rigid handguard uses a proprietary barrel nut with anti-rotation technology and provides continuous 12 o’clock rail space along with multiple M-LOK attachment points for mounting lights, lasers, and accessories while resisting deflection under stress.
