The Forster Bushing Full Length Sizing Die delivers precision control over neck sizing tension while simultaneously sizing the body and bumping the shoulder. This approach ensures the case’s shoulder and body are sized down just enough to fit in a minimum-sized SAAMI rifle chamber, while the bushing limits working of the neck, improving accuracy and prolonging case life. The kit includes three bushings (287 289 291), an Accu-Lock-Ring, and an Etched Reference Line for repeatable setup every time.
Heat treated and oil quenched in atmospherically controlled furnaces, these dies achieve an extremely tough Rockwell hardness. Hand polishing in a high-speed lathe before and after heat treating produces an extra-fine finish. The die features Forster’s exclusive “E-Z” Out Expander Ball, which maintains case neck concentricity during the expanding operation. The elevated “E-Z” Out Expander Ball works in combination with the butyl rubber Co-Ax Washer to correct misalignment of the Decapping/Expander Assembly and prevent case neck drift during expansion. A decapping pin automatically deprimes and removes spent primers from the primer pocket.
