The Forster Co-Ax Case & Cartridge Inspector is a reloading tool designed to measure three critical dimensions: neck wall thickness, case neck concentricity, and bullet runout. Measurements are precise to one-thousandth of an inch increments. This tool is unique in its ability to check both bullet and case alignment in relation to the centerline (axis) of the entire cartridge or case.
The Inspector accommodates cartridges from 204 Ruger to 338 Lapua Mag and includes a precision dial indicator accurate to .001″. It measures case neck wall thickness, case neck runout (concentricity), and bullet and cartridge runout of loaded rounds. The design employs a spring-loaded plunger that holds the cartridge against the stop bar while V-blocks support the case and bullet, ensuring alignment is checked relative to the cartridge centerline (axis).
Pilots for specific calibers are sold separately, allowing you to adapt the tool to your reloading lineup. This precision measurement tool enables handloaders to identify and sort ammunition for consistency, critical for both accuracy and reliability in the field.
