Franklin Armory’s Libertas Lower Receiver is built around the BFSIII trigger system and machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum with hard coat Type III anodized black finish. The flared magazine well is designed to speed up magazine changes, while ambidextrous push button QD sling mounts offer multiple mounting configurations. A textured Memory Index Point sits forward of the trigger on the magwell for safe trigger finger placement when the weapon is not ready to fire. The magazine well features enlarged and beveled geometry to enable faster reloads, and an oversized integral trigger guard accommodates larger hands and gloved operation.
The Binary Firing System GEN 3 (BFSIII) operates as a 3-position trigger, firing one round on trigger pull and one round on release when in position 3—a capability suited to both tactical and competition shooting. The system significantly reduces split times between shots, resulting in tighter shot groupings. This receiver ships with a carbine-length six-position receiver extension featuring MILSPEC diameter, an Ergo Ambi Sure Grip, a Magpul Pmag P20 or P30 magazine, and includes a comprehensive safety manual along with a California certified cable lock.
