American-made and machined from aluminum billet, the FX9 Elite was engineered from the ground up around the Glock 9mm magazine rather than retrofitting a standard AR platform. The lower receiver measures roughly an inch shorter in overall length compared to a standard AR, enhancing portability while maintaining control. The pistol operates on a straight blowback design in which gas pressure created within the chamber when fired forces the bolt rearward to eject the spent casing and chamber the next round.
The FX9 Elite is fully modular and accepts any Freedom Ordnance barrel length, while supporting a wide range of AR-15 accessories for customization. It demonstrates reliable performance across many ammunition types, including hollow point designs for self defense and full metal jacket loads.
