Manufactured from 416-R stainless steel with a salt bath nitride finish, this Faxon FX7 20″ prefit barrel is engineered for the Faxon FX7 bolt-action receiver or similar RemAge-compatible actions. Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 1:8 twist rate, this barrel delivers compact length that stays capable at distance with modern loads while maintaining gunner profile balance with reduced front-end weight while retaining useful stiffness.
Each barrel is 5R button rifled, then honed and lapped to promote a smooth, consistent bore. The salt bath nitride (QPQ) finish adds corrosion resistance and wear durability, while the recessed target crown helps protect accuracy from knocks and hard use. Faxon barrels are fully stress-relieved, air-gauge tested, and Magnetic Particle Inspected to ensure superior accuracy. The barrel ships with a 5/8″ x 24 thread protector and Faxon RemAge-style barrel nut.
The Gunner-profile barrel is designed to keep the rifle responsive while retaining useful contour mass for stability—an excellent option for shooters who want a shorter overall package without giving up the inherent versatility of 6.5 Creedmoor, especially for suppressed use.
