The GBRS Group Hydra V2 is the first dual optic mount to deliver a 2.91″ optic centerline for faster target ID, regardless of obstructions from EarPro/Comms headsets, gas masks/CBRN, and night vision goggles. The elevated optic position promotes a more athletic posture and “Heads-up” attitude, enabling shooters to maintain a vertical spine for improved body armor presentation. This configuration supports faster processing speed and increased situational awareness.
Built from high-strength, lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum with a durable Type III hardcoat anodize finish, the Hydra Mount reduces rail clutter, enables optimal accessory placement, and encourages a “heads-up” shooting posture for enhanced situational awareness and target acquisition. The patented design incorporates an elevated MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny platform for direct mounting of lights, optics, thermals, and aiming devices.
GBRS elevates accessories such as lights or lasers off the Picatinny rail and closer to the red dot optic, reducing obscuration while centering weight over the magazine well. The Aimpoint Duty RDS variant is compatible with CompM5s and Duty RDS optics. Screws and clamp are fabricated from custom heat-treated, black nitrided stainless steel.
