The Geissele Automatics MK14 Super Modular Rail (SMR) is the latest addition to the company’s established lineup of Super Modular Rails. This 9.5 inch handguard features a reduced diameter and height compared to earlier designs, resulting in a slimmer overall profile. The MK14 ships with an updated iteration of Geissele’s proven barrel nut design, delivering both straightforward installation and enhanced rigidity. The barrel nut measures 2.25″ and makes long surface contact with the receiver, establishing a stable platform that maintains alignment along the entire length of the free float rail.
Machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, the MK14 benefits from the material’s combination of strength, rigidity, and lightweight characteristics. The handguard incorporates Magpul’s M-LOK technology at the 3″, 6″, and 9 o’clock positions, allowing shooters to attach lights, bipods, and other accessories with full customization and modularity. The MK14 Super Modular Rail wears Type 3 Hardcoat Anodized finish. Installation requires a Geissele barrel nut wrench, which is sold separately.
