Chambered in 9mm x 19, the Heckler & Koch VP9F is the company’s latest, most successful pistol design. This striker-fired pistol features a Picatinny rail, ambidextrous controls, a hammer forged polygonal barrel, and changeable back and side straps to make the pistol grip customizable for any shooter’s hand with 27 options of grip configuration. Experience gained by HK engineers with the P30 hammer-fired pistol had a direct influence on the design of the VP9F, breaking new ground with its integration of a unique striker firing system with an enhanced HK “light pull” trigger, resulting in a pistol with custom-fit ergonomics with trigger quality unequaled in any production striker fired handgun.
The VP9F trigger features a short, light take-up with a solid, single action type break followed by a short positive reset, delivering exceptional performance for both sport and duty applications. Materials include proprietary HK steel for barrel, slide, springs, pins, and internal components. The cold hammer forged polygonal bore seals propellant gases behind the bullet, increasing bullet velocity and decreasing wear. The controls are completely ambidextrous, with a slide release present on both sides of the frame and the magazine release easily activated by left- or right-handed shooters, plus an extended full size Picatinny MIL-STD-1913 rail molded into its polymer frame for mounting lights and accessories.
