The Heckler & Koch VP9A1 brings improved ergonomics, a better trigger, and additional magazine options to the celebrated VP9 series, featuring fully customizable grip panels, improved ambidextrous surface controls, an enhanced trigger with a nickel-Teflon-coated trigger bar for a smoother pull and cleaner break, a factory flared magwell, and additional front and rear maritime serrations. This compact 9mm striker-fired pistol delivers a 4.09-inch barrel with a 20-round capacity built around VP9A1 control upgrades and an optics-ready slide.
The handguns ship with a set of carry sights manufactured by XS Sights; the front sight includes a tritium vial and the rear sight consists of a plain black rear serrated square-notch unit. All VP9A1 slides are optics-ready by default and use HK’s existing factory cut and plates. The pistol comes with two magazines—one 17-round and one extended 20-round—supporting both compact carry and high-capacity range use.
With six grip panels and four backstraps that allow 54 configurations, the user has the ability to semi-customize the ergonomics of the pistol. The 1-in-9.8-inch twist rate barrel delivers solid ballistic stability with various 9mm loads, while the striker-fired system ensures consistent trigger pull and clean breaks. Ergonomic flexibility is a highlight, with ambidextrous slide and magazine controls and interchangeable grip panels for personalized fit.
