The Henry Repeating Arms Garden Gun is a lever-action rifle chambered in .22 LR, featuring an 18.5″ barrel and weighing just 5 lbs. 10 oz. This model features an 18.5″ round blued steel barrel that is void of any rifling, providing the perfect platform for slinging .22 LR shotshell projectiles in a tight pattern. With a 15-round capacity there is plenty to go around.
The black ash furniture provides a rugged look and sets this shotgun apart, while a blued steel hammer, lever and trigger are at the heart of the exceptionally smooth action. The adjustable rear sight and blade front sight provide all the accuracy you could need for the short-range shots that the Garden Gun is intended for. At a mere 5.25 lbs. and a compact overall length of 36.5″ this is a trim package for grab-and-go convenience.
Purpose-built for pest control and small game, firing shot shells through rifled barrels causes the pellets to spread very quickly, with pattern density dropping significantly, but using a smooth-bore barrel makes a significant difference in performance with these little shells. Garden guns are handy to have around a vegetable patch and inside barns, sheds and warehouse spaces because the light shot loads are less noisy and the shot pellets spread out and lose energy quickly so as to significantly reduce the chances of ricochet.
