The Heritage 92 Ranch Hand is a lever-action firearm chambered in .357 Magnum with compatibility for .38 Special rounds, featuring a 12-inch alloy steel barrel finished in durable stainless steel. The tubular magazine holds six rounds, loaded into a convenient side gate on the receiver. The Heritage 92 is based on Browning’s dual locking bolt, lever-action design that loads from a side gate into an under-barrel tubular magazine, with a modern firing pin block safety lever added to the top of the bolt.
The stainless polished metal finish combines with a fixed hardwood stock for a traditional look and durable construction. Users can toggle between high-powered .357 Magnum loads for maximum impact and milder .38 Special loads for easier handling. The 12-inch barrel enhances velocity compared to shorter handgun barrels while keeping the overall length manageable at around 24 inches, making it far more wieldy than a full-sized rifle.
The action is reliable thanks to Heritage’s manufacturing, with a large-loop lever allowing quick cycling even with gloved hands, and the dual locking bolt system ensuring solid lockup. The rifle features adjustable drift front and adjustable buckhorn rear sights, with a thumb safety. The Heritage 92 is the company’s take on the classic John Browning-designed Winchester 1892 lever-action, delivering the authentic spirit of the American West with modern reliability and precision.
