The HiViz SW1002-R is a front sight for S&W revolvers, featuring resin over-molding and red fiber optic LitePipes. It is designed to fit most Smith & Wesson models with 2.5″ or longer barrels and adjustable rear sights, excluding Classic Series and Performance Center guns.
This sight uses a LitePipe with a square profile rather than round, and includes a base that is pre-drilled for the retaining pin to streamline installation. HiViz LitePipes are constructed from chemical-resistant material and injection molded to deliver maximum brightness and a consistent sight picture. All HiViz sights are manufactured to rigid standards using premium materials and are shooter-tested for durability and reliability. The installed sight height is 0.269 inches.
This front sight is compatible with Smith & Wesson models 317 with 3″ barrel, 66, 67, 686, 696, 625, 657, and 629. The sight is not pre-drilled due to some models having varying pin locations. For installation, it is recommended that all HI-VIZ parts be installed by a qualified and trained gunsmith.
