The HM Defense 16MBUP556L MonoBloc Upper for AR-15 platforms combines a 16″ barrel chambered in .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm NATO with an integral machined patented gas block and carbine gas system. The barrel is constructed from 4150 Chromoly, match grade material, triple honed and button rifled, finished in Black Cerakote.
The upper receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with hard coat anodized finish. The 15″ M-LOK free-float handguard features a long rail and is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum, offering both Picatinny rail and Magpul M-LOK compatibility. The MonoBloc Upper also includes a patented HMB bolt, Mil-Spec components, charging handle, and a dust cover with an American Flag.
