The internal die profile is precision machined and polished to a smooth finish for reliable functioning without case sticking or excessive friction. This pistol die features a titanium nitride “gold ring” finish that’s harder than carbide and doesn’t require lubrication, making it perfect for resizing soft pistol brass without scratching cases. The Hornady Sure-Loc™ lock rings clamp around the entire die applying constant pressure to hold the ring in place, with the locking screw tightening the ring without coming into contact with the threads, eliminating possible damage from pliers.
