The Hornady 45 Colt Full Length Sizing Die (model 046583) is engineered for .452 caliber cartridges. This sizing die features a titanium coated sizing ring that eliminates case sticking and requires no lubrication, with less friction meaning less wear on cases for longer case life. The die incorporates Hornady’s Zip Spindle™ design, which positively locks to eliminate slippage with a series of light threads cut on both the spindle and spindle collet allowing for incremental adjustments or easy “zip” movements for larger adjustments.
The internal die profile is precision machined and polished to a smooth finish for reliable functioning without case sticking or excessive friction. The Hornady Sure-Loc™ lock rings clamp around the entire die, applying constant pressure to hold the ring in place, with the locking screw tightening the ring without coming into contact with the threads to eliminate possible damage from pliers. This single die is ideal for reloaders who already have an expander die and seating die, or those building custom die configurations for their 45 Colt reloading setup.
