Hornady’s A-Tip MATCH bullet represents the latest advancement from the Hornady Ballistic Development Group, developed through years of research and testing employing advanced manufacturing processes and state-of-the-art quality control. Each box of 100 projectiles is offered in .338 caliber with a 300-grain weight and 0.338″ diameter, engineered to deliver the precision needed for match and extreme long-range applications.
The precision-machined aluminum tip is longer than polymer alternatives, repositioning the center of gravity to enhance inflight stability. The patented DVRT™ (Drag Variability Reduction Technology) tip design incorporates a flat meplat that increases bullet drag uniformity, reducing dispersion and tightening groups at extended distances. The refined AMP® bullet jacket design achieves industry-leading uniformity and concentricity.
These projectiles deliver a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.863 and G7 BC of 0.435, with a recommended twist rate of 1 in 10″ or faster. Sequential packing ensures ultimate lot-to-lot consistency for repeatable performance across all shooting distances, including Extreme Long Range (ELR).
