The Hornady ELD-X Bullet is a technologically advanced match accurate ALL-RANGE bullet featuring highest-in-class ballistic coefficients and consistent controlled expansion at ALL practical hunting distances. Each box contains 100 bullets in 7mm caliber (.284″) weighing 150 grains with a boattail design, featuring a recommended 1 in 10″ twist rate and a G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.574.
All manufacturers conventional polymer tips melt in flight, but Hornady identified a heat resistant polymer and developed the Heat Shield tip to counter this effect. The Heat Shield tips retain shape for improved ballistic coefficient, while the streamlined secant ogives deliver improved aerodynamic efficiency. ELD-X bullets use the proprietary InterLock® ring in the bullet to keep the lead core and the copper jacket together for improved weight retention at ranges from 0-400 yards.
With high velocity 0-400 yard impact, the bullet continually expands throughout its penetration path.
