The innovative silent system captures the spring on a guide rod that eliminates contact with the buffer tube, and the weights are a necessary component of the design, eliminating the need for a separate buffer. The Silent Captured Spring offers simple, drop-in installation and is designed for quieter and smoother operation with your rifle. Because of its shorter travel, this model will not allow the bolt to engage the bolt catch on 9mm carbine receivers unless using a JP Enterprises 9mm Short Lock bolt.
