Kel-Tec has enhanced the SUB2000 with an upgraded action featuring a redesigned operating handle for improved comfort, a lightened action for easier racking, and an ambidextrous bolt hold-open that work together to improve overall weapons manipulation.
The most significant update on the SUB2000 GEN3 is the rotating forend that comes standard. Mounted optics and accessories can now easily rotate out of the way to allow for folding, and returning to action requires only a simple, single-handed maneuver that enables quick deployment without the need for additional accessories.
A chamber indicator has been integrated into the SUB2000 GEN3 to assist with safe firearm operation. This visual indicator takes the form of a peephole on the top of the firearm above the chamber, allowing you to see the brass when a round is chambered. While not a replacement for standard firearm safety practices, this feature adds an extra verification tool.
The GEN3 trigger is built from aluminum and uses redesigned trigger mechanics to deliver a lightened 5 lb trigger pull with more precise feedback for a clean, isolated trigger pull, resulting in increased accuracy and follow-up shot capability.
