The L.E. Wilson INR-070 Inside Neck Reamer for 7mm (.284 caliber) features a finished diameter of 0.2863″-0.2868″ and is constructed from hardened ground steel. This reamer removes excess neck material to ensure adequate clearance exists between the case neck and the chamber, addressing a critical precision-loading requirement. Thick necks can cause high chamber pressures and erratic shooting, and neck reamers eliminate this risk by restoring proper clearances.
The reamer is used in the Wilson trimmer in place of the trimmer cutter, providing a guided, supported reaming operation for consistent results. Standard reamers are sized for use on fired, unsized cases and measure .0025″ – .003″ larger than bullet diameter. These reamers can also be used when forming wildcats from a parent case, making them valuable for handloaders working with specialized cartridge designs.
L.E. Wilson has been manufacturing high quality reloading tools since 1927 as a made in the USA family owned business. The Inside Neck Reamer was designed for use in conjunction with the WILSON Case Trimmer, with the trimmer acting as a jig for obtaining correct alignment between cartridge case and reamer and providing substantial support during the reaming operation.
