Leupold® steel Standard (STD) rings and bases are the most versatile of any mounting system available, designed specifically for Winchester 70 rifles and standard calibers less than .300 Win. Mag. This two-piece base set is CNC machined to exacting tolerances for rock solid scope mounting, featuring reversible and long rear bases that make it easy to use standard rings with scopes ranging from extra long varmint and target models to small compacts on any length action.
The front base accepts Leupold’s (and Burris/Redfield/Millett) rotary dovetail ring, while the rear base uses standard Leupold/Burris/Redfield/Millett windage, screw-secured ring. The front dovetail ring pivots, allowing for lateral adjustment using the rear windage screws while bore sighting, and shims can also be used to reserve the scope’s elevation adjustment for BDC (bullet drop compensation) dial applications.
This Standard base features forged and machined steel construction and offers maximum accessibility to the breech area of your rifle. The silver finish steel construction provides a classic appearance while delivering Leupold’s renowned durability and reliability. The design fits right and left-hand actions on Winchester 70, 670, 770, and 770A rifles.
