The Lyman Brass Smith Ideal Press serves as an excellent entry point for new reloaders or as a secondary precision press for those with experience. Its compact footprint minimizes the bench space required for operation. Built with a cast iron frame for durability, the press incorporates steel components throughout, along with compound linkage engineered for optimal leverage. The 1″ diameter ram and 3 7/8″ press opening accommodate all pistol calibers and rifle cartridges with a loaded length of up to 3.700″. A centrally positioned handle enables ambidextrous operation, while the ball handle provides comfort during extended use. The press is compatible with all 7/8″x14 thread dies and standard shell holders.
