The Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX L5 is an iconic large-frame pistol in .50 AE, engineered for shooters seeking both performance and striking visual impact. It features a 5″ barrel with an integral muzzle brake for enhanced recoil control, a hard-coat anodized black aluminum frame, and a Carbo Blue PVD finished steel slide and barrel with titanium gold colored controls. The Carbo Blue finish is a Physical Vapor Deposition process that creates an eye-catching blue appearance with subtle contrast against the gold-finished controls.
The Mark XIX L5 measures 9.75″ in overall length, 6.25″ in height, and 1.25″ in slide width. Its alloy frame construction with weight-reducing cuts makes it approximately one pound lighter than steel-framed models. The pistol is equipped with Hogue® finger groove rubber grips, full picatinny-style accessory rail on the barrel from the chamber end to behind the front sight, and ambidextrous safeties. The L5 uses the same magazines as current steel Desert Eagle models.
The Desert Eagle is a single-action, gas-operated, semi-automatic pistol chambered in .50 Action Express—the largest centerfire cartridge of any magazine-fed, self-loading pistol. Its principal uses are metallic silhouette shooting and medium/big game hunting.
