The Magpul MOE SL is a made in the USA hand guard designed for AR15/M4 firearms with carbine-length gas system and A2 front sight. Built from reinforced, heat-resistant polymer, it delivers modular flexibility through M-LOK accessory slots without the weight penalty of aluminum rail systems. An integral riveted aluminum heat shield enhances durability.
M-LOK slots positioned at the two, six, and ten o’clock positions accommodate optional Picatinny rail sections and direct-attach M-LOK accessories, enabling mounting of tactical lights, slings, grips, and similar equipment. The oversized front extension and lower lip shield the user from the hot front sight assembly while maximizing useable hand guard length.
Installation is straightforward—the MOE SL uses the existing delta ring and round front hand guard retaining cap with your A2 front sight assembly. As a direct replacement for M4 Carbine-type plastic, two-piece hand guards, it works with the existing round front hand guard retaining cap and rear spring-loaded delta ring. This 8.9 inch hand guard is incompatible with piston-operated AR platforms and requires the triangular A2 front sight assembly; other gas blocks will not function. If your A2 front sight assembly has a factory sling swivel attached, it must be removed before installation.
