The Magpul M-LOK AFG (Angled Fore Grip) represents the evolution of research and refinement applied to the original AFG and AFG-2 designs. By combining a direct-attach M-LOK mounting system with minimalist engineering, Magpul achieved a high-strength grip weighing just 1.2 ounces complete with hardware. The M-LOK AFG is 3/4″ shorter than the AFG-2, yet maintains comparable gripping surface area and expands mounting location flexibility across platforms.
The angled design accounts for natural body mechanics, positioning the shooter’s hand high on the centerline of the bore—unlike conventional vertical fore grips. This geometry helps reduce recoil and control during firing, supporting faster and more accurate follow-up shots while minimizing hand fatigue and improving overall weapon control.
