The Magpul STR (Storage/Type Restricted) is a made-in-the-USA drop-in replacement buttstock designed for AR15/M4 carbines equipped with mil-spec sized receiver extension tubes. Building on the CTR platform, the STR adds improved cheek weld and incorporates two water-resistant battery tubes within its compact, reinforced polymer A-frame construction. Two integral sling loops and a reversible push-button QD sling mount are integrated into the design, while a replaceable 0.30″ thick rubber butt-pad delivers positive shoulder purchase to prevent slippage even when worn with body armor or modular gear.
