The Magpul MBUS (Back-Up Sight) is an affordable polymer sight with color injection molding, designed as a folding back-up option. The MBUS Front Sight features elevation adjustment and is compatible with most 1913 Picatinny-railed hand guards, though it is specifically tailored to the AR15/M16 platform. A spring-loaded flip-up mechanism activates easily from either side or by pressing the top release. Protective wings surround the spring-locking A2 front sight post. The sight maintains the same height over bore as standard A2 sights. It delivers 1.6 MOA (1.886″/100m) per click with a 14.5″ sight radius, or 1.2 MOA (1.367″/100m) per click with a 20.0″ sight radius. This sight cannot be mounted to a railed gas block due to excess heat issues. The front MBUS must be mounted to a railed fore end on the same plane as the receiver rail, making it incompatible with MOE Hand Guards. Made in the USA.
