The Magpul Pro 700 Lite pairs a billet aluminum chassis with Magpul polymer construction to deliver enhanced ergonomics, strength, and sound mitigation. The design accommodates the user through full ambidexterity—achieved by swapping the bolt retainer plate—and an adjustable vertical grip that can be configured for different trigger reaches. A large trigger guard is included to work with gloved operation and aftermarket triggers. The AICS-pattern magazine well incorporates an ambidextrous mag release and a front barricade stop that prevents the rifle from resting on the magazine during barricade support use.
