Maxim Defense SBA 7.62x39mm Ammunition

Short barrel rifles deliver excellent performance in close-quarters situations, but the reduced barrel length can compromise the velocity and terminal ballistics achieved by longer barrels. Maxim Defense Industries partnered with Fort Scott Munitions to develop ammunition loads optimized specifically for SBRs. This 7.62x39mm offering features 117 grain copper projectiles engineered with TUI (Tumble Upon Impact) technology, which creates ballistic wound cavities that exceed the performance standards of both expanding and fragmenting rounds. The TUI design causes projectiles to tumble all the way down to 500 fps.
